Wax Care

How to care for your wax products

We want to help you get the most from our wax products.
Here are some tips to help you:
Candle care:
Place candle on a heat resistant surface.
If burning your candle for the first time, trim your wick to ¼ inch (5mm) and allow the wax to melt fully across the diameter of the container before extinguishing the flame. This will help your candle to burn evenly.
Each time you light the candle, simply trim the loose end or dead wick before lighting, this will also help you achieve an even burn.
Use a snuffer to extinguish the flame for a longer life of your candle but also this is a safer way.

Wax Melt Care:

Simply break 2-3 sections of the wax melt snap bar and place in the dish of your burner or electric burner. Please take into consideration the depth of the wax melt dish before selecting the quantity of wax melts portions.

As a guide we estimate you to achieve 2-4 tealights from one portion of wax or 48-72hours in an electric burner.
Never leave your electric burner plugged in overnight.
Once wax is no longer releasing any fragrance, simply clean the wax from the dish and dispose of safely and place a new portion of wax on the dish of the burner or electric burner.
Reed Diffusers:
Simply, remove the cap from the bottle and place your reeds into the fluid. Place the reed bottle on an even surface. With our fibre reeds there is no need to flip your reeds. However, we recommend replacing your reeds every 4-6mths for maximum effect.
Candle Safety Testing
Although it is not a legal requirement in the UK, but we have had our candles externally lab tested and been issued with a PASS. This means our candles meet the requirements of BS EN 15426:2018 and BS EN 15493:2019 for sooting behaviour and fire safety, this complies with CEN standards and helps show due diligence.
